The Tate Group is a New York City-based consulting firm that specializes in creating community, business solutions, and brand impact. Clients have included the 48-Hour Film Project, Aaron Davis Hall, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Brooklyn Tourism, The L Magazine, Queens Council On the Arts, Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, Symphony Space, V3 Hotels, WNYC Radio, and others.
The firm is led by Brian Tate, a marketing strategist with unique experience in developing major events, marketing campaigns, corporate sponsorships, and cultural initiatives. He is former executive director of the DC Committee to Promote Washington, a nonprofit organization that marketed the Nation's Capital around the world and generated $93 million per year in city revenues.
A skilled negotiator, Mr. Tate has raised millions in cash and media through deals with AOL, AT&T, Bloomberg LP, Coca-Cola, Deutsche Bank, the Miller Brewing Co., NBC4, Pepsi-Cola, Southwest Airlines, Target, Visa, The Washington Post, and others.
He is principal creator/founding producer of the Taste of DC Festival, which attracted 1.2 million people per year under his leadership. He is also creator/
producer of the Dark Harvest Film Festival, the Brooklyn New Music Festival, the
Full Spectrum Panel Discussion Series, and other projects that promote economic development, cultural exchange, and progressive ideas.
